Let them buy phones instead, could allow several different phones to be on sale, the more expensive ones offering more options in its use. I try to let them start as poor hobo's with nothing, and they'll just pull out a smartphone to play on. I hate that in sims 3 and 4 sims automatically have phones. So how about a system where the character is for example great at sports but terrible at cooking? So terrible that they can't advance the cooking skill at all and stay a risk at it but master the athletics skill incredibly fast? It adds personality and keeps a nice blind spot to a character, so they'll never be good at everything. People tend to have a talent for something, and be bad at other stuff. Like for example if a character is creative and a genius, that should be allowing them to create something really special that others cant. I'd love to see the combination of traits interact more with each other. Characteristic combinations having an effect. For example a genius should be able to make inventions that others can't make.

I dislike how in the sims it often does very little other than boost skill gain in something, maybe give some interactions but it never affects their personality much. Characteristics should have real impact. I hate it so much when I make this supposedly conservative old lady and she's constantly playing videogames, playing the guitar or doing other stuff completely out of character for what I have in mind. I would want to see some sort of system that lets you customise a bit what kind of items your character wants to use or not. Or at the very least I'd want to see optional coats that the people can put on when they go outdoors, wearing it over their outfit. I want to see it like that where you buy each item individually for the wardrobe and can mix and match it.Īnd also have the underwear, and then put over that maybe some pants, a belt, an undershirt, a blouse, a tie, then a coat all as seperate pieces. Games like Saint's Row 2 already did this more than 10 years ago. Just wanted to share some stuff I've always been hoping to see from the sims but which never happened there yet.
